Qa Joanna Gearyoremus Onezero – Joanna Geary is the former Editor-in-Chief of OneZero, a Medium-based knowledge and science web site. At the Annenberg College of Communication and Journalism at the College of Southern California, she is a Visiting Scholar. Geary led the team that developed Twitter’s data product and partnerships from 2016 to 2017. She was the Head of Information Product at Twitter from 2016 to 2017.
Throughout her career, Geary has covered a variety of topics, including technology, media, and business, as a reporter at The Guardian from 2006 to 2011, and she was the Guardian’s US enterprise editor from 2011 to 2013. After leaving The Guardian in 2013, Geary joined The Instances, where she served as the Head of Social and Viewers until 2016.
She announced in February 2018 that she was leaving Medium to pursue completely different alternative options. She is currently a Visiting Scholar at the University of Southern California’s Annenberg College for Communication and Journalism.
